Will Young signs new deal with Island Records

Will Young has stated that he has sealed a new record contract. In fact, the singer called the contract with Island Records as a dream come true.

Recently, in an interview, he told that he has already signed the record and he would work on that next year. It is like his dream come true because Island Records is all about music. Therefore, it would be great to go back to that.

With his earlier label Sony, Will Young had scored 5 multi platinum selling studio albums and 3 of which topped the song charts with other 2 peaking at No 2. Young has also scored 4 No - 1 singles as well as further 7 top ten hit tracks including 'Changes', 'Jealousy' and 'All Time Love'.

At present the singer is touring the United Kingdom with the West End production of Cabaret, recapitulating his role as Master of Ceremonies.

The Voice United Kingdom producers now have a big job in hand as they have to select new judges for the show as Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue have left the show. Australian singer Kylie Minogue is in the top of the list but there are reports that the producers might not afford her as she would ask for around £ 1 million per series. Other reports suggest that singer Will Young might take Danny O’Donoghue's place. Earlier, Will was supposed to get the job in the 1st series itself, but that never materialized.
