TAKE THAT TIPPED FOR NUMBER ONE SPOT

Take That's new album, Progress, has been tipped to nab the Christmas number one spot after becoming the biggest pre-order release this year.

Take That Tickets went on pre-order before going on sale to the public today and has been the band's most in-demand album to date.

Bookies expect the boyband to head straight to number one in the charts after an impressive live performance of their new single, The Flood, on The X Factor results show last night.

Ladbrokes has slashed its odds for the album to nab the top spot to 2/5, reports the Press Association.

Julian Monaghan, head of music buying at Amazon.co.uk, said: 'Take That and Robbie Williams have enjoyed significant chart success over recent years but the demand for this first album with Robbie back in the fold is higher than anything that either of them have achieved before.
